A Beginner's guide to vi and ex --- archived here for the convenience of my guests. it may interest you (or bring you severe mental pain) to know that i am such a geek that i not only write many of my webpages with vi (or gvim), but i often use Visual SlickEdit in VI emulation mode. in two words, ``vi rocks''. (that's what a few weeks of unix system administration will do to you!) pictures pictures pictures --- lots of them, in several categories. this is not all of the pictures, by any means.
