r e t u r n   o f   t h e   m u p p e t        

here it is, the third installment in the series that includes "The Fellowship of the Ring Buffer" and "The Two MiniTowers"...

well, no, not really.

this is actually to say that the muppet is back online after a fourteen months of isolation. DSL is a wonderful thing, and it can really cramp your style to be without it.

however, the intervening months, including the entire year of 2001, have not been as uneventful as the dearth of insanity entries might imply... it's mostly been the combination of not having a way to publish the insanities leading to lack of motivation to write them down.

that, and life has ceased to be frustrating and hellish, while retaining its bizarre qualities.

in the last year i've

• bought a house and moved into
• been bitten (really hard) by a cat that has since decided i am the greatest thing since seafood middles
• had some, shall we say, interesting experiences
• gotten a couple of hours' worth of free lapdances at my own bachelor party
• gotten married (twice, actually, to the same woman)
• gone to aruba
• destroyed a washing machine
• bought a new car --- and that means i actually said goodbye to my faithful companion thirsty
• got three new ear piercings
• got a tattoo
• dyed my hair blue
• started a really cool software project that has dominated my life for the last 8 months, resulting in over 50k lines of C and perl code written by three people (mostly me) between april and november of 2001.
• lived through remodeling a bathroom
• saw a devastating trajedy unfold on tv
• got a new computer (and a hell of a machine at that)
• gave my old computer to my mom and dad for christmas (interesting)
• drove all the way to houston and back
• discovered tons and tons and tons of stuff on my harddrive that i am just now getting to publishing, but which has been around for almost three years.

yeah, so i'll be publishing for a while. lots of the stuff has dates from 1999, so look back. and the stuff for 2001, if i actually write it out, will appear in 2002 dates.

like anybody reads this but me.
